Aquagym

Last week the class went to Aquagym swim school
here are some comments about the trip.

Aquagym pushed me to do extra exersice on my legs - Nicole
It is a fun way to learn to swim - Sarah
It was a good boost before swimming sports - Archie
I was pleased I moved to the big pool - Hamish
I was happy to swim 25 meters - Willow
I was because it was my first time in the big pool - Tom
I was confident floating and kicking on my back - Tatsumi

Cricket World Cup Opening

How exciting the Cricket World Cup is right here on our door step. The opening is Thursday @ Hagley park from 6.30. See our school perform and support our fellow classmates, YES the talented Y6 girls Rosie and Nicole will be up on stage singing their hearts out. They have been rehearsing all weekend and continue to have many late nights in preparation before then. We know you will be fabulous and do us all proud.

Also note that there are a few free games on this week. That is right, no admission fee....  FREE!

Leadership Roles

The applications for head students are to be worked on this week. Good luck to all who apply. Speeches for Student Council will be held in class next week. You can also apply for house captains and specialist areas leaders roles. See the sheet that went home yesterday for all details. There is a copy on our noticeboard. All applications must be in by February 12th 2015.
