War Letter

Dear Alexandra,

Today was better than the last time I wrote to you. We are winning but are few in soldiers. Germans are bombing the loo at 7:00 every morning. On the bad side, Alger got shot in his right lung. No one thinks he will come back but, no one thinks he will die. John is still okay, How is Katherine? Sorry that I cant write much today, were short on soldiers as you know and the trench stinks.
